COOKING CLASS INFORMATION

Il Granaio is now offering demonstration-style cooking classes, led by head chef Alberto Candivi! Guests will enjoy a glass of wine during the presentation, as well as a sampling of each featured dish. Check for class schedule updates on the right-hand side of this page.

Our first class on July 11th, 2010 was a success! Participants in this class learned how to cook Risotto with Asparagus and Prawns, Salmone alla Checca, as well as the perfect vegetable-sauteeing technique to compliment any summer dish!

We hope to see you at one of our future classes for a day of fun and culinary enlightenment!



General Class Information:
  • Enrollment in Il Granaio cooking classes is by paid reservation only, no reservation will be taken until payment is made with cash, check, gift card or Paypal.
  • Reservations must be made in person, by email or at the restaurant:
    100 E. Montgomery St., Ste. 100 / Mt. Vernon
     
  • Enrollment is $40 per person, and includes wine, lots of food, instruction and a great time!
  • Classes start at 11:00 am, and end at about 1:15pm (depending on dishes being made)
  • Please make checks payable to Alberto Candivi
     
  • Il Granaio will NOT REFUND OR CREDIT tuition after payment has been made.
     
  • Classes may be canceled due to insufficient enrollment. Upon cancellation, we will do our best to contact you by phone or email, please make sure we have your contact information. 
Payment MUST be made before your name will be written down.

I want to thank you and Alberto so much for the class. It was 
great. I made the risotto tonight for my family including 
making my own fish stock from the prawn shells. They absolutely 
LOVED IT.  I must say I think I got lucky and nailed it on my first
try.  Please count me in for all classes!  It is an honor and a 
privilege to have such an opportunity to learn from such an 
accomplished chef. I can't wait for the next class.
